Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows you to obtain nationally recognised qualifications by formally assessing the skills, knowledge, and experience you have already developed through work or previous study. Instead of repeating training for competencies you already possess, RPL enables you to demonstrate your expertise by submitting relevant evidence from your professional background. This streamlined pathway helps you avoid unnecessary study and fast-track your qualification.
We are dedicated to helping you achieve every qualification you’re eligible for. It’s our passion and expertise. What sets us apart from other providers is our extensive range of over 200 qualifications across various industries, coupled with the most competitive pricing in the market. Plus, we offer flexible payment plans, making it easier for you to afford your RPL qualification.
Our consultant will support you throughout the entire RPL process, guiding you step by step from start to finish. Once we determine that you are suitable for RPL, you will be required to gather evidence that demonstrates your skills, knowledge, and industry experience. This evidence may include documents such as your resume, job descriptions, employment contracts, reference letters, and relevant work samples. For practical qualifications, you may also provide photos or videos of tasks you have completed in the workplace. In some cases, your assessor may ask you to answer competency-based challenge questions or complete practical tasks to further demonstrate your abilities. The objective is to show that you have sufficient industry experience and can perform the required duties to a professional standard. Our team is here to guide and support you, ensuring the process is clear, efficient, and as smooth as possible.
The RPL process can often be completed within a few weeks, generally ranging from two weeks to one month after all required evidence has been submitted. The overall timeframe largely depends on how quickly you are able to gather and provide the necessary documentation, as discussed with your consultant. Once your evidence is finalised, we forward it to our partner Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for formal assessment. In most cases, an outcome is provided within a few days of submission. If you experience difficulty collecting sufficient evidence, we can assist by arranging interviews or workplace observations (where applicable) to help support your application and keep the process moving efficiently.
Your RPL assessor will carefully review all available evidence to determine whether you meet the requirements for the qualification. Every effort is made to identify and utilise the documentation and experience you provide to support your application. However, in some cases, there may not be sufficient evidence to demonstrate full competency. If this occurs, we will discuss suitable alternatives with you. These may include considering a more appropriate qualification, identifying specific units of competency you may still need to complete, or exploring gap training options through the relevant RTO. Our focus remains on guiding you toward the most practical pathway so you can achieve a nationally recognised outcome in the most efficient and realistic way possible.
